Log cabin living is a reality show about a family fleeing modern life. At first, they're actually forced to dig even deeper into the hassles of modern life. There's a lot of paperwork and searching involved with finding the best possible log cabin. Once they find their new home, the family still needs to set up a real life for themselves. The show follows the family as they try to find a balance between modern luxuries and their new log cabin lifestyle. They need to find ways to deal with the essentials, such as procuring water. But they also work to regain some luxuries such as the ability to watch television.
